2010
Mingle reception
The city of Gothenburg and the region of Västra Götaland invited to a welcome reception for the opening of the ECTRIMS congress in the middle of October. Approximately 1800 participants gathered in Scandinavium arena for mingling with colleagues, enjoy the tasteful food and experience an entertaining evening with dance and live music. Nordic Event arranged the logistics, the catering and the entertainment.
Sailing activity
During the EADV congress in the beginning of October Nordic Event was engaged by different clients to organize with hotel bookings, transportation and activities. The international groups got, among other things, the opportunity to experience a wonderful afternoon/evening in Gothenburg's southern archipelago with a belonging shellfish buffet served on board the S/Y Hope.
Opening
In March one of Gothenburg’s biggest hotels opened their five new stories and 110 new hotel rooms. Nordic Event was during the opening evening producing the entertainment and helped with the logistics and flow of guests. At the new floors the guests were greeted by cocktails and nice music from DJ’s, and at the first floor two different stages had been put up. One hosting Peter Getz with band who offered the guests inspiring Bossa Nova and jazz. On the main stage Peter Johansson and Niklas Andersson performed show sets with the greatest musical hits through time.
50-year anniversary
To celebrate the company’s 50-year anniversary, Nordic Event had the honor of arranging a full evening. The guest were invited to the beautiful halls of Börsen where they had time to mingle with their colleagues and taste delicious finger food. Afterwards they made their way to Kronhuset, one of the oldest buildings in Gothenburg, where the guests were served a fantastic three course dinner from Nordic Event’s catering. The evening was crammed with entertainment and show from stand up comedian Stefan Odelberg and a musical time journey from the 1960’s up until today.
2009
Product launch
In March a wind power park was launched in Ludvika municipality. Nordic Event arranged a full day with focus on the environment. The event was made up by three parts. First the demonstration of the wind power park for invited only with a a warm soup served outside in the snow, and finishing with a press conference. Then a public family day at the city square with artists such as musical performer Malena Laszlo and winner of Sweden’s Idol 2009 Kevin Borg, and speakers such as former prime minister Göran Persson. For the children there was also a theatre group, facial painting and the magician Tobbe Trollkarl on stage. The product launch ended in the evening with a lovely dinner for invited guests from the municipality among others. The guests was served fantastic food by Dan Lexö, and amazing entertainment.
Exhibition
For the fifth year in a row Nordic Event had the pleasure to arrange an IT exhibition in Eriksbergshall. The fair was build up from scratch, and attracted hundreds of visitors from the industry. As a finish of the successful day the visitors was invited for dinner and mingle with colleagues, and entertainment on stage featured magic and lots of comedy.
Conference and full day activity
Focus during this day was flavours from different countries. The client began the afternoon with a conference, before it was time to board a waiting steamer. While eating the starter the guests were transported through the inlet of Gothenburg to the New Älvsborgs Fortress. As the guest disembarked they were met by Carolins and a guide that showed them around the Fortress. Once back on dry land in Gothenburg the guests were met by large outdoor grills and drinks in front of River Café, where they were welcomed to take from the exotic buffet. The show group Afrodite entertained during the evening and delivered disco inspired songs to get the party started.
2008
Business world/Tourism
Nordic Event arranged a works shop for 250 international guests. The day started off with a delicious buffet and entertainment at the City Hall, and continued with a trip on the water where the guests could experience the beautiful archipelago of Stockholm. The second day began with the work shop at Clarion Sign Hotel where buyers had the chance to meet and ask questions to the exhibiting companies. The evening included a four course dinner at Skansen, Solliden, while the guests followed a grand musical show with some of the Swedish musical elite.
National day, June 6
Sweden’s national day was celebrated with 5 000 Swedes at the foot of Kungälv Fortress, where Nordic Event arranged the production. In the park the guests were able to take part of music and entertainment with Swedish artists such as Sanna Nielsen and Stefan Andersson among others. Together with the celebrating Swedes was also Sweden’s crown princess Viktoria.
ESTRO congress
In September one of the largest corporate meetings in Gothenburg was held and the major sponsor invited 1300 person to Eriksbergshall. The evening started with a cruise from the Opera of Gothenburg. When arriving to Eriksberg the guests were met by large portals of fire and a welcome drink. While the guests were enjoying a nice Swedish buffet they were viewing a grand musical show by talented artists that performed songs from Chess and Mamma Mia among others.
